And back again

Suddenly my crappy computer seems like a brilliant computer, with its fabulously crisp LCD screen and always-on internet. Ahhhhhh…. I’m trying to prepare a new release of JujuEdit [and to a lesser extent Reader and eLibrary] but just realized my stupid install builder has expired [because I'm such a cheap bastard I never bought a license]… So what better time to post some more photos!

Murwillumbah Station, my strongest memory of which was boarding the train for Sydney in early 1991. Note the lack of gleam on the rails, which haven’t been used for some time now. Boneheads let the rail system rot, and now it’s too expensive to fix, so my home town is no longer the last stop on the northern line [from Sydney]. This was one of the saddest things I saw up there– It’s not that the town is dying or anything, it’s just changing.

On a lighter note, here you see the only picture of yours truly on display in my parents’ living room. It’s from my senior year at high school, playing Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar– the first and last time I ever sung on stage. I think I got the gig because I could just hit the low note in “Ah, gentlemen…”
