Everytime I do an blog overhaul or upgrade, I find myself wondering what the hell I’m going to write all of a sudden. Simply changing colors and layout makes it all feel different, unfamiliar, like I’m guest-blogging or something.

For now I have no intention of recreating the previous look, since it would require substantial work to port the old template to the new WordPress system, and I was getting tired of the mixture of font faces and sizes anyway. I’ve decided that serif fonts are out, at least for a while. Probably I won’t stick with the current look, although for the moment I like the ultra simplicity of it. I was going to simplify it further, but then I realized I would be knocking off Michael’s incredibly simple design. [I'm sorely tempted– his page looks so much nicer than my own right now... ]

And can you believe intepid [formerly jujublog] just turned THREE and I didn’t even notice…? I only realize it now looking at the humungous list of monthly archives in the sidebar. Yikes!

I am planning to reinstate the links to Recent Comments and Assorted Posts in the sidebar sometime soon– they’re handy features that make it worth visiting the front page.

UPDATE: It’s gone very quiet round here all of a sudden…
