I saw V for Vendetta tonight, and found it surprisingly good [I wasn't really impressed by the preview and I loathed the Matrix sequels]. Stephen Fry plays himself rather well, and features in what I found to be the most moving scene of the film. Actually there’s a lot of stuff about the movie that’s pretty stupid too, like most of the TV stuff. Perhaps part of what I was impressed by is that it really seems like it would have been a tough movie to sell post 9/11.

Also, Natalie Portman has the most amazing folding eyebrows. When she does her sad face, each one becomes a little V on its own.
